En Primeur 2021

The Wine Futures sale, in French En Primeur, is a mechanism created in Bordeaux, through which you can buy wines when they’re still ageing in barrel. Basically you “make a reservation" on a wine, 18 to 24 months before it’s bottled. The main advantages are that you can buy it now for a lower price than what it's going to be when released on the market after bottling, and the chance to ensure some very sought-after wines well in advance.
