Cannonau is an Italian red grape variety that is part of the Grenache family, but its link with Sardinia has ancient origins, so much so that on the island it expresses unique characteristics, enhancing notes of Mediterranean scrub and spices. Cultivated throughout the region, it finds particularly fertile soil in the Mamoiada area, which gives Cannonau great longevity.
