Tasting Notes

All’esame visivo ha una tonalità rosso rubino con leggeri riflessi granata. I profumi al naso richiamano la marmellata di ribes e more, alternati a sentori speziati e di erbe del sottobosco. In bocca è morbido, avvolgente, ricco, con un gusto decisamente tannico.

Pairing

Un vino che ha una naturale predisposizione gastronomica verso quei piatti a base di carni rosse e selvaggina. Perfetto anche con i formaggi stagionati, è da provare con la guancia di vitello.

Il “Vigorello” ha un valore storico per l’azienda agricola San Felice: si tratta infatti del primo “Supertuscan” prodotto dalla cantina, nel lontano 1968. Un blend che ama la biodiversità, e che oltre a cabernet sauvignon, merlot e petit verdot, va alla riscoperta di un autoctono toscano molto interessante, il pugnitello. Le uve fermentano a contatto con le bucce per circa 20-25 giorni a 30 °C, per poi affinare lentamente in barriques per 18-20 mesi. Un Toscana Rosso IGT puntualmente avvolgente, che nonostante la fitta trama tannica può vantare un’ottima bevibilità.
