Tasting Notes

Located in the northern tip of the Médoc, Château Calon Ségur towers over Saint-Estèphe, a terroir rich in sand that allows for a great expression to cabernet sauvignon, particularly qualitative in this vintage. In a 2021 in which spring frosts and summer rains were balanced by skilful work by the winemakers, this appellation and this domaine have returned a result characterized by continuity. A pure and defined style, austere on the nose bouquet while straight in the mouth, on the notes of cinchona and ripe fruit - plum and cherry on everything. A wine that has seduced us for its maturity and elegance, and which will do so even more overtime.
