Tasting Notes

The"Grand Vin" by Château Mangot is a combination of classicism and modernity, of tradition and experimentation, in an area where it is increasingly difficult to invent something new. Yet, the Todeschini brothers gave life to a wine that has all the characteristics of the classic Saint-Émilion – structure, body, ripe fruit – but also that adventurous side of those who have lived elsewhere and have experienced new styles.
This Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion expresses a fine nose on the notes of violet, and then unfolds in an aromatic range that spreads over ripe fruit – especially plum. The sip flows pleasantly and characterized by a refined tannic texture that rests on the entire palate without being invasive. Effortlessly expressive.
