Tasting Notes

Bright amber in colour. It has an elegant and refined aromatic expansion, made up of scents of dried fruit, almonds and roast hazelnuts, with balsamic and iodide notes, followed by woody and caramel nuances. The palate is warm and enveloped by a multitude of organoleptic sensations. Crisp and savoury, it has a long and pleasantly bitterish finish.

Pairing

Eclectic and versatile, it pairs well with a wide variety of dishes. Excellent with soft and blue cheeses, it can also accompany desserts or foie gras. Worth trying with pumpkin tortelli.

Marsala Superiore Oro 5 Anni DOC “Vigna la Miccia” - Marco De Bartoli: Why we like it

After spending three or four years in new French oak barrels and spending a further six months resting in the bottle, Marco De Bartoli's Marsala Superiore Oro 5 Anni DOC “Vigna la Miccia” is versatile and easy to drink. It offers a contemporary and innovative expression of Marsala, enhancing the fruity, more delicate notes of the Grillo grape variety, which admirably join the scents dictated by the characteristics and peculiarities of the soils where the vines are planted. Pleasant.
