Bertani is to Valpolicella what Batman is to Gotham City. This winery is the region's true hero, fighting to safeguard tradition. Located just a way's away from Verona in Grezzana, this winery has been producing some of the best Amarone wine all the way since 1857. These are wines that we can all agree on, such as their multiple award-winning Amarone Classico 2008 (3 bicchieri, 5 grappoli, 90 pt. Galloni, 91 pt. Wine Enthusiast) and some newer wines such as their 2015 Ripasso. Whatever the case, Bertani wines are constantly (and brilliantly) remaining authentic whilst keeping up with the times. Truly heroic indeed!
