Tasting Notes

Pomegranate red colour. The bouquet is rich and complex, with aromas of fruit jams, spices, cherries, sour black cherries and hints of tobacco and cocoa. On the palate it has a deep structure, warm, broad, complex elegant and velvety.

Pairing

Excellent for tasting as a meditative wine, it also pairs well with stews and braised dishes of local cuisine: pastissada de’ caval (minced foal), stracotto d’asino (braised donkey).

Amarone Riserva displays great balance and elegance with hints of complex deep tertiary flavours. Refinement requires 3 years in barriques and 2 years in oak casks of capacity 25 hl.
